THE ARUBAN – GENERAL INFO

Is there a Lost and Found at The Aruban Resort & Casino?
Yes, the Housekeeping department keeps items left behind for three months. Items are disposed of after 3 months.

How do I contact Lost and Found?
To confirm your item has been found, contact Lost & Found, Monday to Sunday from 8:30am to 11:00pm. Telephone: (297) 587-9000 ext. 7140 or 7141, Fax: (297) 587-3606 or email ruthlyn.g@thearuban.aw. To complete the process, you need to fill the Lost & Found Authorization for Express Mail, and fax it to us.

Once authorized, we will send express mail (IBC) charging the shipping costs to your credit card (Amex, Visa, MasterCard), or via Federal Express charging to your Federal Express account number. You may also authorize another individual to pick up your found items.

Is there an ATM machine at The Aruban Resort & Casino?
Yes, there is one inside the Key Largo Casino.

What is the cost of cab fare from the airport to The Aruban Resort & Casino?
The cab fare from the airport to The Aruban is $17. On Sunday they charge an extra $3 ($20 total).

Should we bring our own beach towels to the resort?
No need, The Aruban has towels available by the pools.

Can I use a laptop computer from my room?
Yes. The Aruban offers its own wireless service. Instructions are available in the rooms. All resort guests can make use of the laptops we have installed in the Internet Station for internet connection for a small fee. You cannot connect your laptop in the Internet Station.

Are there hair dryers, irons & ironing boards in the rooms?
Yes there are.

What type of barbecue grills are at the resort, and where are they generally located?
There are two gas barbecue grills located at The Aruban. Our resort layout will give you a general idea of location.

Our flight departs long after your 12 noon check-out time. Is there a place to store luggage and shower before leaving for our late flight?
After check-out time our agents at the Guest Services Desk will provide you with keys to our hospitality room. There are showers available, towels, hairdryers, soap, shampoo etc. The Bell Staff will keep your luggage secure as long as it's necessary.

Can we purchase a meal plan after we arrive at The Aruban or must we do it beforehand?
You may purchase the Dine-Around meal plan once you are here. They are sold at the Guest Services Desk.

If someone needed to phone me while at The Aruban, what number would they use?
The resort phone number is (297) 587-9000 (Dial 011 if calling from the US). They should ask for you by (registered) name or room number. If there is no answer, the call will automatically bounce back to the operator.

Does The Aruban have wheelchairs available?
You can request a wheelchair either from the bell staff upon your arrival, or in advance by emailing guestservices@thearuban.aw. Include your name and arrival time and date.

For a wheelchair at the airport you will need to arrange this with your flight attendant.

Does The Aruban have cribs, high chairs or strollers available?
The Aruban does have cribs and high chairs. You can request them in advance when making the reservation or when you arrive at the Front Desk. There is a $5 per night charge for the crib. No charge for the high chair. Strollers are not available; we suggest you bring your own.

Sometimes we can't take a vacation and other times we can take more than one week. Is there anything we can do about that?
You have many options when using your owner time. If you're not going to use your time at your home resort or exchange for time at another resort, you can save this year's week and use it next year along with that year's week. Or, you can use next year's week along with this year's. Remember, carry overs don't happen automatically; you must give your week to Trading Places or another exchange company. Also, don't forget you can often rent additional time at the resort where you're staying. It's a great way to extend your vacation. And, sometimes you can get better flight arrangements by traveling on a different day. If you do, just rent the additional time you need.

When does my owner week expire?
Your owner week expires at the end of each calendar year. If you cannot use your week during that year, please call a representative to discuss your options.

Can we let a guest use our suite this year?
Yes. To give them your use week an authorization letter must first be received by The Aruban. Your maintenance fee account must be up to date for us to process this request. If you need any additional information please contact raysa.a@thearuban.aw. If the guest is using a week you've exchanged, call Trading Places or the other exchange company you worked with.

We own Fixed Time. Do we need to make a reservation?
No, not exactly. That is, you don't need to make a reservation, but you should let Trading Places know in order to use your week or to exchange or rent it, as you'll need a confirmation.

What if we can't get a reservation (floating week owners) at our home resort for the time of year we want to be there?
Just make a reservation for whatever time is available and then give it to TPI or another exchange company and ask for an internal exchange. That's when you exchange one time period at your Home Resort for a different time at that same resort.

What kind of accommodations can be made for additional nights stay?
Please contact the Reservations department via e-mail at reservation@thearuban.aw to book an additional night.

DEPOSITING & EXCHANGING

Do we have to know which resort we want to exchange into at the time we deposit?
No. But, just like making your reservation, the earlier you request a specific location, the more likely you are to get it.

We own two weeks but this year we would like to bank one of them. How do we go about this? Or what if we want to exchange for another week, at or at another resort?
For banking weeks you need to contact Trading Places International or another exchange company. When you bank your week, you have 2 years time in which to use it. When ready to use your deposited week, call your exchange company and they will check availability for you. Trading Places allows you to deposit or exchange online. Visit www.tradingplaces.com/exchange.

We currently own a Friday to Friday suite but we now need Saturday to Saturday. Is it possible to change?
You should make your temporary In-house Exchange request at least 4 months prior to your arrival. Do this by contacting aruban@tradingplaces.com. This is based on availability. If there is no availability for an in-house exchange, you also have the option to rent additional nights to match your departure date. If you want to change your check-in date permanently, you should contact Ms. Raysa Acosta at raysa.a@thearuban.aw

PREMIER ACCESS

What is Premier Access?
Premier Access is a special vacation opportunity designed for vacation owners who like variety in their vacations- and ease in making reservations. New owners who purchase at the Aruban have special access to a family of beautiful vacation ownership resorts. Trading Places International has selected its most consistently requested exchange destinations for the "Premier Access" Family of Resorts. Benefits include free exchanges within the "Premier Access Family of Resorts," Premier Time, season and unit upgrades, and more. Please refer to your Premier Access Directory or call Trading Places for detailed information.

Can I split my week through Premier Access?
Yes! You may split your week into three and four night trips. You may make split week reservations up to 90 days in advance. There is a $59 transaction fee for each split week reservation. There may be an additional housekeeping fee charged by the resort. You will be provided specific fee information when you make your reservation.

Can we use only part of our week?
You can't reserve just part of a week. You must reserve a full seven days for each week of use, but you may be able to exchange a three or four day portion of your reserved time depending on the exchange company's rules. Of course, the number of days you actually stay is up to you, but you will be considered to have used all of whatever you reserved or exchanged.

When can I book Premier Time?
Premier Time is perfect for last minute vacations at various resorts and requires a two night minimum stay. The Aruban owners can book bonus time at one of the resorts (including their home resort) as long as the reservation is booked within 21 days of the arrival date, based on availability.

What are the nightly Premier Time rates?
The Premier Time rates start at $52 a night with a $15 one-time reservation fee.

How do I become a Premier Access Member?
Please visit the on-site sales staff, contact them at +297-587-9000 ext. 7193 or email sales@thearuban.com for information about new or upgraded ownership benefits including Premier Access.
